
Viva Animal Facility has Passed Inspection by a Major Pharmaceutical Company for Both SPF and Conventional Areas

The Viva animal facility follows the NIH Guide for the Care and Use of Animals and is applying for AAALAC accreditation in 2010.
The 5,000 sq ft Animal Facility contains a 2,500 sq ft SPF area for mice and rats and a 2,500 sq ft conventional area for rabbits and dogs. It can accommodate 2000 mice, 600 rat, 48 rabbits and 12 dogs concurrently. It is mainly used for establishing different models and in vivo PK projects, etc. Viva is focusing on in vivo models in pain, diabetes, and oncology areas.
